National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria ( NISCN ) is a professional training institution registered in Nigeria .
It was established by a decision of the federal government under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Employment in 1964. and is considered the national health and safety regulatory body in Nigeria.
NISCN is Nigeria’s first and oldest safety organization, aiming to promote occupational safety and health across industries, provide solutions to meet the demands of an ever-evolving industrial landscape, and develop health and safety professionals.
Its mission is to provide training and serve learning in the field of safety and health, with a focus on promotion, advocacy, and advice on the profession.
National Industrial Safety Council of Nigeria has met the ACTD accreditation requirements in accordance with internationally recognized standards and general requirements for professional training with the ACTD standards of accreditation.
As a consequence, it has become a part of the ACTD global network of accredited institutions.
